Meet Molly

Molly McCullough is a member of the Worcester School Committee, now representing District A. First elected in 2015 as an at-large member, she is currently serving her fifth term.

Molly has deep roots in the community, and has long been dedicated to serving it.
​
A lifelong Worcester resident, Molly comes from a long line of community servants. Her Grandfather, James D. O’Brien, served as Mayor of the City of Worcester in the 1950’s and 1960’s. Her Uncle and Godfather, Thomas P. White, served as a State Rep, State Senator and City Councilor Uncle, James D. O’Brien, Jr., served on Governor’s Council. Growing up, her parents had her very active in local campaigns and volunteering within the community, something she continued on her own when she went off to UMass and once she returned home after college as well. Molly is the daughter of Maureen(O’Brien), a retired Worcester Public Schools educator, and Thomas McCullough. She and her husband, Don “Moose” Huban, live in the Indian Hill section of Worcester and she has two stepsons; Tiernan and Braydan.

McCullough earned a bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2003. She later earned an MBA from Nichols College in 2007. McCullough's service experience includes being a past member of the Worcester Library Board Foundation and being current Chair and founding member of the Planting the Seed Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on programs for homeless families in Worcester.​
